The storm doesn’t wait.
Neither do we.
When wind or a falling tree opens your roof to the sky, Affordable Roofing SC is the veteran-owned crew that shows up to clear the damage, dry in your home, and get your insurance claim started off right — 25+ years serving Pickens, Easley, Clemson and the rest of the Upstate.
VETERAN-OWNED & OPERATED · MASTER CERTAINTEED CONTRACTOR · 5,000+ ROOFS INSTALLEDFrom the tree in your roof to a dry ceiling.
Tree lifted clear, not dragged off
A tree across the roofline isn’t a one-man job with a rope. When the load is too large or too unstable to cut down safely in place, we bring in crane support to lift it off the structure — so the roof decking underneath doesn’t take a second hit on the way down.
Limbs and smaller trees, cut and cleared
Not every job needs a crane. Our crew gets on the roof with chainsaws and hand tools to cut down and clear limbs and smaller trees section by section, so we can finally see what the structure underneath actually looks like.
Dried in before we leave
Once the roof is clear, we don’t pack up until it’s covered. A properly measured, properly fastened tarp is the difference between “we’ll fix the roof” and “we’re replacing the ceiling, the insulation, and the flooring too.”
Drag to see the difference.
Every emergency call ends the same way — the damage is cleared, the roof is protected, and the property is stable while the insurance side gets sorted out. Here’s a job from start to finish.

Six stages, one crew, start to finish.
This is the same sequence whether it’s 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning.
-
Call Received
You call, we answer.
Tell us what happened — tree on the roof, missing shingles, active leak — and we start putting a crew and the right equipment together.
-
Crew Dispatched
We head your way.
A crew is sent out with what your situation calls for — chainsaws, crane support, or tarping materials — based on what you describe.
-
Site Secured
Trees and debris come off the structure.
Downed trees and limbs are removed from the roof and yard, and any immediate safety hazards are addressed first.
-
Roof Dried In
Exposed sections get tarped.
Openings are covered and secured to stop water intrusion before it becomes an interior problem.
-
Damage Documented
We record everything.
Photos and notes of the damage, the tree removal, and the tarp work are kept for your records and your insurance file.
-
Repair Scheduled
The permanent fix gets put on the calendar.
Once your claim moves forward, we schedule the full repair or replacement — see how we support that process below.
You’re not doing this alone.
Storm claims are confusing, especially with a tree still in the yard. Here’s exactly what we do to support your claim — and where the decision stays yours.
What We Do
- Provide a free, thorough inspection with photos and measurements of the storm damage.
- Put together a detailed written scope of work and estimate you can bring to your insurance company.
- Meet your insurance company’s field adjuster at your home and walk them through what our inspection found.
- Document the emergency tree removal and tarping we performed, for your claim file.
- Explain, in plain language, what the repair process looks like once your claim moves forward.
- Point you toward a licensed public adjuster or attorney if you want direct representation in a dispute.
What’s Outside Our Lane
- We’re a licensed roofing contractor — not a public adjuster, insurance agent, or attorney.
- We don’t interpret your policy or tell you what your insurer is required to pay.
- We don’t negotiate your settlement or represent you in a claim dispute.
- We don’t ask you to sign over your claim (an “assignment of benefits”) to us.
Not insurance or legal advice. This page is general information about our process, not a statement about your specific policy or claim. For coverage questions or a disputed settlement, contact your insurance company, a South Carolina–licensed public adjuster, or an attorney.
